I absolutely loved the location of this hotel! Surrounded by beautiful pines, it was a nature-lover's paradise. The hotel was conveniently close to the lake, market, and restaurants, and just a short drive away from both Durango and Bayfield. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. The staff here were wonderful and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The cabin itself was just the right size and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the fact that there was cable TV and a selection of VHS movies to borrow from the main office. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, and staff exceeded my expectations.
Hard to think of anything negative to say. This hotel truly offered an exceptional experience that left me with no complaints.

We had an amazing time at this cozy cabin in the pines. The location was perfect, close to the lake and amenities, and just a short drive to Durango or Bayfield. The staff, especially Rick, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
The morning meal could have been improved with more options or a small continental breakfast.

The location of the lodge is great, close to lake activities and restaurants. The cabin itself is neat and clean, with well-equipped amenities. The owner is friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. The grounds of the lodge are very nice, and there are plenty of activities for kids, including a campfire with s'mores.
The front porch light is very dim at night, making it difficult to see the pathway to the cabin and potential safety hazard. A more modern porch light would greatly improve visibility in the area.

The cabin had three comfortable queen beds and was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, silverware, and dishes. The front deck had a beautiful view of the trees and we saw deer both nights. The cabins are close together and the area was very quiet.
No AC! The cabin was close to a community fire pit and it could get noisy at times. No brochures or staff info about the local area.
